- ➤ Twelve Northstate food banks received nearly 40,000 pounds of food on Tuesday, May 5 at Mercy Oaks Dignity Health in Redding from America’s 250 event—organized by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints—to help local families in need. KRCR

- ➤ Shasta College Theatre Department holds auditions on Aug. 24 and 25 at 6:00 p.m. at its theatre and will perform Arcadia from Oct. 9 to Oct. 18 with a special high school morning show on Oct. 16 (contact Jessica Nieves for details). A News Cafe
