- ➤ Redding is under a flood watch through Friday as a series of atmospheric rivers will bring 7.5 inches of rain through Christmas while colder storms on Wednesday to Friday will lower mountain snow levels to 4,500 feet for a white Christmas in nearby areas. Record Searchlight

- ➤ Storms dumped heavy rain on Sunday, Dec. 21, forcing several roads to close in Redding and prompting the police to open an American Red Cross shelter at Pilgrim Congregational Church for residents displaced by flooding.
