  • Today on Straight from the Source, Action News Now anchor Hayley Watts interviewed local animal advocate Shelly Rogers. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Today the Klamath Tribes declared a Tribal Emergency as a federal shutdown suspended SNAP benefits + they will allocate funds and form an ad hoc committee to provide food assistance and mental health support + local resources like 211 remain available for further help.  Record Searchlight

HEALTH NEWS

  • A Redding clinic expanded its services on November 9—neighbors voiced concerns about the changes and sparked a debate over local healthcare. The clinic said the expansion aims to meet growing care needs.  Action News Now

REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • New data shows that in August the median home price in Shasta County rose to $375,000—up 7.1% from July—while single-family homes sold for $373,250 and condos dropped to $475,000; three single-family homes sold for $1 million or more and overall recorded sales increased by 5.9% from August last year.  Record Searchlight
