- ➤ The city of Shasta Lake is hosting a Veterans Day parade this weekend+ officials say the event will honor veterans and show the community's gratitude for their service+ local organizers expect a strong turnout. Action News Now
- ➤ The Shasta County Out of the Darkness Community Walk is held today at Carter House Lawn in Caldwell Park—registration starts at 2 p.m. and the walk begins at 3 p.m. Christopher Diamond, a volunteer with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, said the event raises awareness on suicide prevention and seeks more volunteers to expand support programs in the Northstate. - ➤ A volunteer event is set for Monday at 3:30 p.m. at the Northern California Veterans Cemetery in Igo to place flags and flowers for veterans after an earlier plan was canceled on Thursday due to rain. Volunteers are welcome to join the effort. KQMS
