- ➤ The Redding Police Department and Siskiyou County Sheriff's Office honored female officers on Friday, September 12 in celebration of National Police Woman Day—local agencies praised the dedication and strength of women serving law enforcement. KRCR
- ➤ County officials approved plans on September 9 to have staff gather details for an Amity Foundation reentry facility on Eastside Road—this facility may offer 100 beds divided between jail inmates and state prisoners while providing job training, GED classes, and health services. - ➤ Redding Recreation has started American Red Cross CPR and First Aid courses for ages 13+ to meet rising emergency preparedness demand in Northstate — the program offers classes for adults, children, and infants with three new sessions each month and an upcoming pet first aid course available online.
