ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Wildfires in Shasta County scorched nearly 2,000 acres Sunday as crews battled the Horse Fire west of Lakehead and the Green Fire in Shasta-Trinity National Forest, where steep—rugged terrain slowed their efforts. Firefighters expect full containment later this week, and no injuries or threats to structures were reported. Action News Now
