- ➤ The Redding City Council voted Tuesday night to launch a request for proposals for a new operator of the Redding Civic Auditorium (a community venue open for over 50 years) without financial support, leaving Advance Redding to plan its shutdown while scheduling of 17 upcoming shows remains uncertain. - ➤ Caltrans will widen and resurface SR 99 in Tehama County starting Friday afternoon, with 24-hour traffic control at the South Avenue roundabout until Monday morning. The $49.1M project lasts 115 working days and aims to improve roads from Los Molinos to the Tehama/Butte County line + finish by fall. Action News Now
- ➤ Redding officials suspended outdoor burning as of May 15 due to hot, dry weather that increases fire risk, so residents must use green waste bins (cut to the required size) or take debris to designated transfer stations. Record Searchlight
