- ➤ Staff at the Anderson Frontier Senior Center asked for donations to replace their 30-year-old leaking roof for safety; the nonprofit raised over $30,000 at a fundraiser on Monday and is seeking grants and private contributions to cover the $119,000 cost. KRCR

- ➤ Casino events offer variety of entertainment this spring with a local highlight in Redding. Win-River Resort Casino will host a Mothers Day Brunch on May 10 with seatings at 9 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m., and will have Overtime Live DJ Nights every Friday and Saturday for guests 21+. - ➤ Turtle Bay Exploration Park will open its 3rd Annual Glowing Wild Lantern Festival on May 1 at the arboretum near Sundial Bridge, featuring a T. rex, pyramid and lion dance (7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on May 2) and running nights through June 28 to support education and conservation.
