- ➤ Mount Shasta Fish Hatchery will host two free Kids Fishing Day events on Saturday, June 27 and Saturday, July 25. Children aged 15 and under can fish with provided bait and loaner tackle (coolers or buckets are needed to take home their catch) in a fun, safe setting. KRCR

- ➤ Trader Joe’s has agreed to settle a class action that may pay eligible California shoppers $102.45 for receipt errors in transactions between March 5 and July 19, 2019 — claims must be filed by June 9 as a hearing is set for August. Record Searchlight

- ➤ Redding’s Eden Theatre Company will present its original play Allegory from May 1-3 and May 8-10 at The Box on Bechelli Lane. The production, funded by local artists, explores themes of love, grief, and redemption. KRCR
- ➤ Redding’s Cascade Theatre, built in 1935 and restored to its art deco glory, continues to host local events that unite generations. Director Maggie Redmon said volunteers preserved the original marquee and recreated historic details to keep the landmark a cherished cultural hub. KRCR
- ➤ Kool April Nites is an annual festival held in Redding that celebrates vintage hot rods & classic California cruising culture. Visitors can enjoy the classic car show, live music, and local food vendors while experiencing community traditions. Record Searchlight
- ➤ Kool April Nites hosts its cruise on Friday, April 24 at 6:30 p.m. The free event shuts down streets starting at 5 p.m. on a loop from Hilltop Drive to Dana Drive to Churn Creek Road to Cypress Avenue — a tribute to 75 years of classic cruising. Record Searchlight
