- ➤ Redding’s Lao, Thai and Cambodian communities will host LTC New Year celebrations at a small Buddhist temple on Rebecca Lane (Sunday, April 19 at 10 a.m.). The event will feature traditional dance, food, and water splashing to wash away old luck. ShastaScout

- ➤ Emergent Construction is putting final touches on a 3D-printed concrete Emergency Evacuation and Education Center at Haven Humane, designed to shelter 90 dogs + 100 cats and host community classes; a ribbon-cutting is planned in about one month. KRCR
