- ➤ Tribal casinos host a range of live shows, comedy sets, and a seafood buffet from today through April 12. Redding locals can catch weekend DVJ performances at Win-River Resort & Casino, 2100 Redding Rancheria Road, from 9:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Record Searchlight
- ➤ Casinos in the region are set to host exciting shows in early April. A 1920s-themed celebrity boxing event will run at Win-River Resort in Redding on April 4 plus Pete Davidson will perform stand-up at Thunder Valley Casino on April 10. Record Searchlight

- ➤ Crews conducted a prescribed burn at Whiskeytown National Recreation Area on March 30, burning 80 acres between County Line Road on the west and Crystal Creek Road on the east (at the Shasta-Trinity county border). Action News Now
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ A Touch of Heaven Assisted Living in Redding closed abruptly on March 17 after state agents demanded exit by 4 p.m. following a 60-day notice amid financial issues. The shutdown left 13 residents relocated and many staff awaiting full pay (administrator Justine Long reported ongoing difficulties). KRCR
