- ➤ Near Gas Point Road, a home narrowly avoided disaster today when a woodstove sparked a fire that burned part of the ceiling, and neighbors and volunteer responders helped the homeowner use fire extinguishers and close interior doors (a key safety tip) to limit the damage. A News Cafe

- ➤ Casino entertainment including tribute rock, live DJs and themed nights will run from today until March 15 at local and Northern California tribal casinos — offering free and ticketed events for audiences 21 and older. Record Searchlight
