- ➤ At an Anderson board meeting, three members approved two new football coaches while delaying a vote on West Valley High School's varsity volleyball coach amid conflict-of-interest concerns — the board will reconvene with a full panel to revisit the decision. Action News Now
- ➤ Redding leaders, including Simpson University President Dr. Norman Hall and Council member Paul DiNuca, visited Pikeville, Kentucky to study a successful medical training program. They will gather support letters and work with experts to plan a new medical school that could boost local health services and the economy. KRCR

- ➤ Cal Fire Shasta-Trinity Unit is training seasonal staff ahead of peak fire season by practicing firefighting, EMS skills, and fuels treatment at local sessions. Battalion Chief Matt Alexander said the hands-on training will speed emergency response and help reduce property fire hazards. KRCR

- ➤ In Red Bluff, the 105th Round-Up started its slack competition on Wednesday with team roping, tie-down roping and steer wrestling as cowboys recorded times from 4.7 to 9.6 seconds — today breakaway roping and second rounds are scheduled, with the top 24 advancing for contests on April 17 and 18.
